Local dishes “Dagoshiru” and “Takanameshi” can both be enjoyed in Kumamoto.

For the “dago” (dumplings), visitors choose from 2 types of soft “rice dago” that are made with homemade glutinous rice flour, as well as “wheat/barley dago,” which are made using wheat/barley. The sweet taste of the soup made with the root of taro potatoes, has not changed since its inception 40 years ago.
