Nokonoshima is a small, suspended island along Hakata Bay. The widespread natural park on the north side of the island is Nokonoshima Island Park. It's known to people as a tourist resort for being accessible via municipal ferry in 10 minutes. There are cherry blossoms, poppies and field mustard during spring, sunflowers and bright red scarlet sage during summer, cosmos in full bloom during autumn, and daffodils during winter. There are many kinds of trees and flowers depending on the season. One can leisurely pass the time here while gazing at the beautiful scenery. There are also various activities which can be enjoyed by both children and adults such as the mini-animal zoo with rabbits and goats, ceramic painting classes, pottery, and a mini-golf game called "Noko-ball."
