A public interest incorporated foundation, the Museum of Aeronautical Sciences in Shibayama, Chiba Prefecture is the first national aviation museum in Japan. It is located right next to Narita Airport.
Life-sized models and actual airplanes and the like, including various documents and data about aviation are in exhibit to the general public here, geared towards the deeper understanding of aeronautical science and the development of Japan’s airplanes by young people.
A viewing deck is located on the 5th floor where one can be in close proximity to the appearance and awesome force of the airplanes as they take off and land at Narita Airport.

Get off at “Nanbu Butsuryu” bus stop and cross the stop light headed opposite Pro Logis Narita Bldg.3.
Go straight ahead when you see the IACT building to your left. (Approx. 8-min walk)
