Kawachi Wisteria Garden is in Yahatahigashi Ward in Kitakyushu City, and is the biggest, privately-owned wisteria garden in Japan.
The spectacular view of the wisteria tunnels, the highlight of the wisteria trellis, will overwhelm everyone.
There are two wisteria flower tunnels, one 80m long and another at 220m, and walking into these tunnels takes you into an entirely different world. Also inside the garden is a Wisteria Dome, where the sky is filled with blooming wisterias. You can also see large trees growing firmly from the earth. With the numerous wisteria trellis hanging all around, you will certainly feel and breathe the life force of these wisterias.
Shirafuji (white wisteria), the grape-like Yaefuji, wisterias, wisterias and more wisterias -- see and be thrilled at the stunning display of fastidiously and lovingly raised wisterias in this garden.
