A branch of the Izumo Taisha Shrine in Shimane Prefecture, the Izumo Taisha Shrine in Fukuoka along with the one in Nagasaki make up two of the Izumo shrines found in Kyushu. The Shinto god Okuninushi, who is famous for being a god of marriage, is enshrined here, and many shrine-goers visit Izumo shrines because of this, even if they come from far away. Let’s visit Izumo Taisha with a red string on hand to find our match!
After paying homage at the main shrine, it is said that going around the shrine 3 times while reciting your goshinka (wish) will result in marriage.
